I said that it wouldn’t be long before I wrote another post to you all, so here goes. A few weeks ago I was unsure of where I wanted to go or even what I wanted to do with my life, and unfortunately for me, this was when I was in the last year of my Computer Systems course within College. However, things have changed quite a bit since then, because I am now looking forward to embracing an Open University Course with an aim to achieve an Honours degree, with this degree I am then aiming to move on to teach within a secondary school.
I have always wanted to teach and I have lived by the phrase “follow your dreams” for so long that I would be foolish not to, so I am prepared to do whatever it takes for me to be able to become a teacher that I aspire to be. I love reading and books anyway as you may have gathered whilst reading the many blog posts on here that follow the many different books that I have read and enjoyed and then blogged about them on this site.
So, for now, it looks like I know where I want to take my future and what I want to do with it, this just goes to show that you don’t have to attend a posh university for many years just to get to where you want to go, you can do exactly the same thing, just by attending a college with a university centre and then doing just a year’s top-up course within a university. Plus, when you do the year’s top-up course you are still entitled to a student discount card, that enables you to get discounts on food, tickets and even your favourite clothing lines! I’ll attach the link below on how to get your student discount card as well.
This was really just a post to show just how important it is to follow your dreams, because sometimes if you don’t follow your dreams then you end up doing something that you really don’t want to do in the long run. So even if you have to take the odd chance here and there as well as maybe the odd risk, then go for it! If something is worth waiting and working towards then do whatever you can to achieve it!
