As you all probably know thanks to the huge fireworks in the sky, earlier this week was bonfire night, as usual on Bonfire night, me, my friends and my mum all gather to have a laugh and burn some rubbish that we have all accumulated over the last year, have some fireworks, maybe some hotdogs and most importantly have a laugh. This year has been no exception, we all gathered around and my other friend’s place and set up the fire, before it got dark and we started setting off the Fireworks.
This in recent years has almost become a family tradition, because that is what it feels like with us altogether and having a laugh. However, when I was younger it was a completely different story for me because I just remember hearing horror stories on the news about the number of people getting burnt by sparklers and Fireworks going through windows on the odd occasion, so I used to keep my distance and I was quite scared of them.
This had to change and fortunately, I’m not as bad as I used to be, this is largely because of the friends that I have got and their encouragement to join in. So now I do have fun on Bonfire night, but I still draw the line at actually lighting them myself, but if all goes to plan on the night, there will be some good photos linked on the bottom of this blog post.
Just remember to stay safe on bonfire night, but if you have any funny stories of Bonfire night, I would love to hear them, so please post them in the comments box below and I will reply as soon as I can.
