Biggest Christmas Advert

Hi all,

Welcome to the 7th day of Blogmas, the end of the first week of Blogmas!

Today I thought I would do a little review of the John Lewis Christmas advert for this year. In previous years the John Lewis advert has been the climax of Christmas being just around the corner and then, this year they do the advert featuring Elton John.

Elton John’s music is absolutely amazing, no one is disputing that, but compared to other years when they have used Animal animations and Monster animations, I personally think that Elton John is a little bit of a come down and doesn’t seem all that christmassy.

Also another way of looking at it, is promotion for the movie that is coming out next year all about Elton John, a little like the Bohemian Rhapsody movie that came out this year all about Queen and Freddie Mercury. If this is the case, it’s supposed to be advertising Christmas, not promoting a movie which is due for release next year.

Just remember that this is just my honest opinion, if you would like to share your opinion on the John Lewis advert this year, please leave your reply in the comments box below, I can’t wait to read all your opinions.
